What helps us answer

Common questions

Why does the location say “Inaccurate”?

Each check asks two public data sources where the IP is. When they disagree on the country or city, IP Glance shows the primary source's answer and marks it; tap the label to compare both. IP location is always an estimate, and hosting and proxy IPs are the most likely to disagree.

Why is VPN marked “estimate”?

An app cannot know for certain whether you are on a VPN. IP Glance infers it from your iPhone's network interfaces and from whether the exit IP belongs to a hosting network, so it always says estimate.

How often do the widgets update?

iOS decides when widgets refresh, usually every 15 to 30 minutes, so every widget shows the time of its data. To check now, tap the refresh button on a Home Screen widget or open the app.

Why was a change not recorded?

IP Glance checks your exit when the app opens, when the network changes and when a widget refreshes. iOS does not let apps keep running in the background, so a change that happens while the app is closed may be missed.

How do I export or clear my change history?

The buttons at the top right of the Timeline tab export every record as CSV or clear them all; Settings can export too. Clearing cannot be undone, and nothing is kept anywhere else.

Is IP Glance a VPN?

No. IP Glance provides no VPN or proxy service; it only looks up public information about the IP you are already using.
